Overview
Specialists are the most pivotal and critical role in the organization. They are the face of the organization to parents, clients and our communities, and through their interactions the company’s vision is created or lost. First and foremost, Specialists are responsible for developing strong, long-term relationships with families. Second, they are responsible for supporting, coaching, and directing students throughout the complexities of the in-state process. Finally, they are the technical experts around everything related to making college more affordable to their case load of clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Relationships
- Form and strengthen relationships with clients and families in the long-term
- Communicate effectively with a diverse constituency in written and verbal forms
- Provide unparalleled customer service to clients and their families

Management
- Set clear expectations with clients and their families about their role and your role in the in-state residency process
- Consult and support clients and their families according to their needs and situation
- Closely manage timelines and adjust course accordingly when changes occur
- Monitor progress of each client closely and ensure that every client in your caseload is moving through the process in a streamlined, simple, and effective manner

Technical Expert
- Continue to learn and expand your repertoire and strategies for navigating the process
- Answer any and all questions related to tuition, housing, employment, taxes, banking, and scholarships that are within the bounds of your knowledge
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
- Spend 10% of your time innovating in the area of your choice
